We provide legal services for transactions in the midstream and downstream Oil and Gas Law sectors. Our experience and services include:
Immersion in every aspect of Libya’s energy and natural resources sector has been our priority to assist our clients. We are familiar with the regulations of GECOL, and we have provided advice to various international companies operating in Libya.
Since renewable energy is a new energy source in Libya and still lacks the legal framework, we are keeping with the latest developments initiated by the Executive Authority for Renewable Energy (REAOL). We strive to be the best renewable energy law firm in Libya.
Unfortunately, there is no legal framework for the renewable energy sector. The Executive Authority for Renewable Energy (REAOL) drafted a law in 2013 related to renewable energy, and it submitted it to the Ministry of Electricity for comments and approval. The draft law of 2013 dealt with issues of encouraging the private sector to participate in electricity production.
For all regulatory matters which concern Energy Law industry (oil & gas and renewable energy), we advise our clients on the laws of Libya, the United Arab Emirates and the MENA. We frequently advise governments and national oil companies, chemical engineering companies and oil field service companies on how to navigate the peculiarities of jurisdictions to which they are subject.
